Learn to Navigate

The Young Navigator Award Scheme was set up to give young people the opportunity to learn how to navigate in wilderness areas.

Sri Cymru runs three level of course:

Bronze

Aimed at 8 - 10 year olds.  This half day session teaches the fundamentals of navigation in a fun and exciting course.

Silver 

Aimed at 10 - 12 year olds.  This full day session builds upon the knowledge learned at the Bronze Level, and increases a participants confidence and ability to read maps effectively.

Gold

Aimed at 12 - 16 year olds. This two day session gives young people the opportunity to explore some beautiful places, with the skills they have learnt on previous courses. This course can be combined with an overnight wild camp in the Brecon Beacons if required.
