Sbri Cymru runs a Mountain Skills Day for South Wales Instructors.

This week Sbri Cymru has run a Mountain Skills Course aimed at improving instructors ability to provide fun Mountain Walks.  The Course was based at our Activity Centre in the Brecon Beacons, and had a good attendance. 

We covered aspects such as:

• Best practice for teaching Compass Work
• Best practice for teaching Map work
• Contour Interpretation
• Integration Exercises
• Games & Activities to add value

Our Activity Centre is based in the Heart of the Brecon Beacons, and provides an ideal base for exploring the mountains and countryside surrounding the Centre.  We provide a wide range of experiences for young people in this environment.

The course was run as part of the Outdoor Professionals Cooperative Training Programme
