Cave Guiding and Training in South Wales

Sbri Cymru guided a client around the wonderful underground world of Porth yr Ogof in the Brecon Beacons.  The client (who had caved in his youth as part of a school trip) wanted to experience the beauty and delicacy of the cave systems in the Brecon Beacons.  He completed challenges such as the Letterbox squeeze, The Rat Run, The Toilet & Hywels Grotto.  We also assisted him in learning new techniques that would help him continue his caving career such as Navigation, Water Safety, Effective Body Movement.

The Brecon Beacons is situated on a large area of Limestone, and has many large and interesting caves, some of which are upwards of 50km long.  Porth yr Ogof is one of the best known novice caves in the Brecon Beacons, and is a fantastic introduction to Caving, and all things caving related.  It allows a novice caver to experience the underground world in a safe environment.
